The BRAT Option B520-400 is an option to the basic BRAT B520 Comm/Nav rack utilizing Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) equipment. The system is used to augment the existing BRAT capabilities to test communication equipment and is especially suited for testing SINCGARS and TALON radio systems. The instrumentation allows for complete, simplified interfacing and testing for transmitter characteristics such as frequency, power, modulation, fidelity, and spurious, and receiver characteristics such as sensitivity, selectivity, audio output level, SINAD, audio frequency response, and audio distortion. SINCGARS and TALON waveform generation and detection is also accomplished with this instrumentation. |
