The BRAT® Option B520 is an option to the BRAT® Test System utilizing Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) equipment. The system is used to augment the existing BRAT® capabilities to test communication and navigation equipment. The instrumentation allows for complete, simplified interfacing and testing for VOR, Localizer, Glideslope, Communications, SELCAL, ADF, ATCRBS or IFF, including Mode S, and TACAN, and evaluation for HF, VHF, or UHF radios, including Have Quick spread spectrum options.

 

In addition, an option for Global Positioning System (GPS) (NAVSTAR and GLONASS) support is available. These systems support GPS receivers that incorporate either Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS) or standard GPS correlation.

 

This add-on rack easily interfaces with the current BRAT® B305B as well as other BRAT® configurations and provides support for AN/ARC-186, AN/ARC-164, AN/ARC-201, AN/ARC-220, AN/ARC-222, AN/APX-101, AN/ARN-147, AN/ARN-118, AN/ARN-153, AN/ARN-108, and AN/APN-151.
